Security & Fraud
AO Insurance takes the protection of client information seriously. We handle documents such as tax forms, driver's licenses, insurance papers and immigration records, so we built our client portal around protecting them.
What we do
- Two-step sign-in. Staff accounts need a password and an authenticator code. Clients can turn this on too.
- Encrypted storage. Documents you upload are encrypted with AES-256 before storage.
- Limited access. Only authorized AO Insurance personnel can open client documents, and each client sees only their own information.
- Access records. Opening a document is recorded, and these records cannot be edited or erased through the application.
- Protected passwords. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, never as readable text.
- Secure connection. The website and portal use HTTPS.
What you can do
- Send sensitive documents through the secure client portal, not by regular email or text message.
- Never share your password or authentication code with anyone. AO Insurance will never ask for them by email, text or phone.
- Use a password you do not use anywhere else.
- Be careful with messages that create urgency, such as "your account will be closed" or "send your documents now", or that link to a different website. When unsure, call us at the number on this site.
- Always type our address, aoinsurance23.com, yourself or use a bookmark you saved.
If something looks wrong
If you received a suspicious message that claims to be from us, or you think someone else has your password, call us right away at 303-219-3900 or 720-610-4755. We can lock the account and help you set a new password. Do not reply to the suspicious message or click its links.
